Testimonials

Dear Alison

I am so very grateful to you for making it possible for us to have our chickens. Without your chicken course I don't think I would have felt confident enough to get them - it was just what we needed to set us on the road to chickens.

We decided to take on some ex-battery chickens and today they are scratching around in their run. I just love watching them! We are now waiting excitedly for our first egg!

Children's Sausage Making £15

Come and have the fun of making your own sausages!

You will weigh out the pork mince into portions which will give you 1kg of sausage meat when mixed with the flavouring, rusk and water. We are using a sausage machine which make most of the meat into sausages, with a little mince left over in the nozzle to make into a couple of pork burgers or sausage rolls for something completely different.

You chose your flavouring from the amazing list below, mix it with pre-measured amounts of rusk and water, add the mince and hey presto! your sausage meat is ready. You will be given a length of natural sausage skin to load onto the machine nozzle, put your sausage meat into the container and away you go making your very own sausages. When you have a long length of sausage you will be shown how to twist it into individual sausages. See how close you can get to making them look like the ones in a butcher’s window!

The sausage machine works well in pairs where one turns the handle to push the sausage meat through and the other makes the sausages. The pair then swaps around and the handle turner becomes the sausage maker.

It is great fun in a group so come along with brothers, sisters and friends!

You take the sausages home that you make and you can have them for tea, freeze them for later or give them as as really appreciated present.

The cost of the course is £15, to include the sausages you make.
